Homeowner's Catastrophe Insurance Trust – Have you ever wondered what would happen if a devastating earthquake struck your neighborhood? The Homeowner's Catastrophe Insurance Trust (HCIT) was formed in 1975 to cover this and other major perils, principally flood and landslide. The program permits subscribing members to obtain affordable property protection against the losses associated with disasters such as these, which are not usually covered on homeowners' policies. The program is available in CO, ID, NM, NV, UT, and WA only.
